Day 18: HAPPIEST / PROUDEST MOMENT?

When I try to think of a single happiest moment, my mind, in a way, draws a blank. Not in the sense that i cant think of happy times (I swear I'm not depressed), but in the sense that happy moments  kind of meld together into spans of time that i can look back on in a truly jovial light. The Summer in between high school graduation and moving up here to Santa Barbara, for example, strikes my memory as being a truly care free, happy time. Days on end spent at various surf spots with a good group of friends, dawn 'till dusk...Those times are what i look foreword to all year. No stress, just good fun with the people i enjoy hanging out with. Last summer, my Happiest moment lasted for over three months. After a couple months of surfing all day, a few surf contests mixed in, and a few days of work a week thrown in the mix, I took a trip to a secluded town in Baja called San Juanico, or as surfers call it, "Scorpion Bay", with a couple buddies, and a photographer. After an epic ten day trip, we came right back home and straight into a surf contest at one of the best waves in LA, making for an amazing weekend. Only a couple weeks after that, I was off the New Jersey for another surf contest with a good friend. Perfectly timed with Hurricane Igor, the waves were insane, and a bunch of friends were there. Two days upon arriving back home, It was time to move in to my dorm here in Santa Barbara. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do, and ultimately, stands as my goal year round, to be able to travel. I had never travelled so much in my life as i did last summer, and partially owe my good times to that.
